For the health and safety of our volunteers, the NAMI Helpline is temporarily unable to answer live phone calls. With that said, we will be answering voicemails and emails within 24 - 48 business hours of receipt. If you need immediate assistance, the Crisis Text Line is open 24/7 - text NAMI to 741741. For immediate information and resources, visit www.nami.org/helpline. We are working to enable live service and will keep the NAMI community updated.

You Can #BeTheDifference For People Facing Depression.
“Everybody has bad days, but depression can make every day a bad day. I would spend days on end in bed, unwilling, or even unable to move, for depression can be so debilitating that it becomes physically disabling.”
Mood disorders affect one in 10 adults in the United States each year. Depression is the most common, impacting 6.8 percent of adults in any one year. Of these adults, only 57 percent receive the professional mental health care or other services that they need.
That means someone around you might be dealing with depression and not getting the support they need.
